How CutPrice works
CutPrice is where people sell used, lightly-used and clearance items below market price — and buyers can see exactly how much they’re saving before they commit. We run the money side end to end, so neither side has to trust a stranger.
Buying
- Find something below market. Every listing shows the going market price next to the seller’s asking price, with the naira and percentage you save. Filter by category, location, condition and price.
- Pay into CutPrice, not the seller. Your payment is held by CutPrice — the seller can see it’s there, but can’t touch it yet.
- Get the item and check it. Collect in person or have it dispatched. You have the item in hand before any money moves.
- Confirm, and the seller gets paid. Tap confirm and we release the funds. If you don’t act, we auto-release 3 days after delivery. Something wrong? Open a dispute instead of confirming.
Selling
- List in a couple of minutes. Add photos, pick a category, set the market price and your asking price. CutPrice works out the savings badge buyers see. Listing is free.
- Optional: add a clearance countdown. Price to move fast and set a timer. When it hits zero the listing locks automatically — no haggling past the deadline.
- Buyer pays, you ship. You’re notified the moment funds are secured with CutPrice. Hand over or dispatch the item.
- Get paid to your bank. Once the buyer confirms (or the 3-day window passes), we pay you out, minus a 7% commission. Your rating goes up with every good sale.
The money side, plainly
- Held, not spent. Buyer funds sit with CutPrice’s payment partner between payment and release — not in a seller’s pocket and not in general company funds.
- Commission only on a completed sale. 7% of the item price, taken at payout. No listing fees, no monthly fees.
- Ratings are earned. Every seller score is built from real buyer reviews on completed orders, shown before you buy.
- Disputes go to CutPrice. If an item isn’t as described, raise a dispute before confirming and our team reviews the evidence from both sides.
